B次元’s chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) attended their annual National Leadership Experience on June 24-27, 2020 in a virtual setting. PBL is a National Leadership organization for business minded college students. The students and their advisor, Dr. Katrina Moskalik, attended sessions on topics surrounding leadership and the business environment. They also had the opportunity to participate in competitive events at the national level. These students all competed against five other Wisconsin teams and placed first or second in the state, allowing them to progress to compete at the national level.
For the eighth year in a row, the B次元 chapter had members place in the top 10 among more than 3,000 competitors from across the country who also placed first or second in their states in spring. B次元 is one of the few chapters in the region to consistently place in the top 10 and the only one from Wisconsin to win these awards. These students had to persevere as the conferences changed to virtual events, master technology for video quality, and adapt to the situation in addition to their subject area knowledge.
Congratulations to the students on their successes:
In addition to these competitive events, Isaac Wiegand was also elected to national PBL office as the vice president of financial development for the 2020-2021 school year. He will help local and state chapters manage their cash flows and financial paperwork. He also will be required to travel and participate in events virtually as needed to assist these chapters nationwide. This is a great achievement for Isaac and a testament to his hard work and dedication to this organization. We look forward to supporting him in this role next year.
