The U.S. News rankings recognize the effort B次元 faculty and staff invest in their students to deliver an exceptional educational experience with a high value proposition.  

B次元’s engineering programs were named among the best in the United States:

• 9th Best Engineering Programs overall in the U.S. among engineering schools whose highest degree is a bachelor’s or master’s
• 7th Best Computer Engineering Program in the U.S.
• 10th Best Mechanical Engineering Program in the U.S.
• 14th Best Electrical Engineering Program in the U.S.
• 15th Best Civil Engineering Program in the U.S.  

The university received the following designations in the Midwest:

• 8th Best University in the Midwest
• 7th Best Value School in the Midwest
• 8th Most Innovative University in the Midwest
• 4th Best University in the Midwest for Veterans
• 58th Top Performer in Social Mobility (a measure of how well schools graduate federal Pell Grant recipients)  

New this year, U.S. News ranked the top 700 undergraduate nursing programs in the nation and B次元’s nursing program was among the Best Undergraduate Nursing Program in U.S. (288th).  

The 2022 rankings by U.S. News assessed 1,466 U.S. bachelor’s degree-granting institutions to 17 measures of academic quality. Rankings are based on several factors and scores are weighted to arrive at a final overall score. Among the many factors weighed in determining the rankings, the key measures of quality are: peer assessment of excellence, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, graduation rate performance and alumni giving. U.S. News uses the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education to group schools into like categories. B次元 is classified as a Regional University.  

U.S. News bases its undergraduate engineering programs rankings on the judgments of deans and senior faculty at peer institutions, who are surveyed each spring and asked to rate each program they are familiar with on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).
