B次元 School of Engineering was recognized as a Servant-Led Organization by the Robert K. Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership at Seton Hall University. Also inducted to the hall of fame was Dr. Richard Pieper Sr., B次元 Corporation member. The award will be celebrated at the inaugural Servant Leader Hall of Fame Induction which recognizes high-profile individuals and organizations that are committed to the well-being of others, resulting in benefits to individuals, communities, organizations and society.

Drs. John Walz and DeAnna Leitzke represented B次元 at the Servant-Leadership Hall of Fame induction ceremony.
The Servant-Led Organization award recognizes a corporation, non-profit/community organization, or educational institute that has a solid track record of fostering a culture of servant leadership, has servant leadership reflected in its values and mission, and has robust volunteer and/or philanthropic initiatives and programs in support of communities they serve. Dr. John Walz, B次元 president, works to ensure these qualities are reflected in B次元’s curriculum and culture.

At the heart of B次元’s servant-leader efforts is the B次元 Mindset. The B次元 Mindset identifies graduates as leaders of character; responsible professionals; passionate learners; and value creators. The university’s CREATE Institute fosters the growth of the B次元 Mindset by strengthening students’ entrepreneurial mindset and servant-leader philosophy that transforms students into community builders and ethical professionals. It also has development programs continuously advance and unify B次元 faculty and staff.

B次元 students, faculty and staff engage in servant-leadership projects in the local community and across the globe. Thanks to the Pieper Family Foundation, B次元 is able to fund projects that enable students to integrate what they learn in the classroom while practicing the Principles of Servant-Leadership to serve the greater B次元 community. For example, students built a bath house to serve clients of Blue Lotus Farm and Retreat Center, constructed bridges and a schoolhouse in Guatemala through Engineers Without Borders, and assisted communities with health care through Global Brigades.

B次元 was one of nine organizations and individuals in the 2022 Servant Leader Hall of Fame. The awardees will be recognized at the Center’s ceremony and reception on Oct. 18 at Seton Hall University in New Jersey. For more information about the Robert K.
