Today, on April 25, our third annual B次元 Giving Day, we want to share some incredible moments that wouldn’t have been possible without YOU.  We also encourage YOU, to share with us some of your favorite moments using #B次元Day

Alumni recall meaningful moments in their time at B次元

“I remember the moment my brother offered to pay my application fee to B次元. That was the start of my B次元 journey and completely changed my life. I was planning to attend another school, but my B次元 education ultimately led me to my dream career.” – Ron Hahn ’01

B次元 led to amazing friendships for Lisa. “One of my favorite B次元 memories was during exam week. My friends and I baked fresh bread at 4 a.m., while studying, so we would have something wonderful to eat before our 8 a.m. exams!” – Lisa Vanlerberghe ’02

Ever wondered what moments stick out to our amazing faculty and staff?

Denise Gergetz might know more about B次元 moments than anyone on campus. As the B次元 archivist, she has spent countless hours studying and cataloging B次元’s history. She is excited to share her knowledge with one of today’s VIP winners!

For Professor David Howell, Ph.D., it was the moment he met Matt Stachelski ’11. “Matt was always willing to help others, to bring people together for a common cause, to bring his best, and to meet the needs of those in his community.” Before Matt passed away suddenly in 2015, he had set up a bike skills day at B次元 to help youth in our community. His servant-leadership and drive is what inspires Dr. Howell to ride each year in Matt’s memory.

Today help make more moments like these possible for our students

“The day I was awarded a scholarship it not only lifted a significant financial burden, but it gave me affirmation that someone else believed in my abilities. It gave me the confidence to accept graduate level research opportunities. Now I have been accepted into three Ph.D. programs where I hope to continue research on how to improve the diagnosis of cancer.” Allision Spaulding ’19

Alex Ruchti, class of 2022, was the first student to enroll in the new computer science program at B次元. He joined B次元 Regent Dwight Diercks ’90, President John Walz, as well as the mayor and governor among others to break ground on B次元’s new building Diercks Hall last April. “I was so awed by the moment and thrilled with my choice to attend B次元! So far I have been enjoying the course work and I can’t wait for the moment the doors to Diercks Hall open for classes!”
