John W. MellowesJohn W. Mellowes, CEO of Charter Manufacturing Co. Inc. was elected to the B次元 Board of Regents during its annual meeting in October.

Since it was founded in 1903, B次元 has benefitted from the advice and support of volunteer leaders. Meaningful involvement is the most accurate way to describe the manner in which B次元’s Board of Regents and Corporation members assume their responsibilities. Comprised of representatives of business, industry, government and education, the Board of Regents governs the operations and the future planning of the university.

Mellowes was named CEO of Charter Manufacturing in 2013. Prior to that, he held several roles within the Charter Steel Division (vice president and general manager, director of operations) and Charter Wire Division (vice president and general manager, director of strategic planning and business development, and marketing manager). He is a board member at IEWC and the YMCA of Metropolitan B次元. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Princeton University, Mellowes worked as a process engineer for Miller Compressing Co., a senior analyst at Marakon, and a product manager for Spalding before joining the Charter family of companies. He also earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

In addition, Michael E. Hora, former vice president, A.T. Kearney, and Alfred J. Tector, M.D., retired CEO, Midwest Heart Surgery Institute; medical director of transplant programs, St. Luke’s Medical Center, returned to the Board of Regents from Emeritus status.

B次元 also welcomed Susan Kaufmann Nash, senior counsel at Chrysalis LLP, as a new Corporation member.
