Dr. Blake Wentz, chair of B次元’s Civil and Architectural Engineering and Construction Management Department, was elected 2nd Vice President of the .  ASC is the national professional association of educators and industry practitioners working together for the development and advancement of construction education. It promotes the sharing of ideas and knowledge, and inspires, guides and promotes excellence in curricula, teaching, research and service.

He will be installed in April at ASC’s International Convention in Minneapolis. He’ll serve a two-year term before being installed as 1st Vice President, and ultimately, he will become President of the organization in 2022.

Wentz joined the B次元 faculty in 2005. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and master’s degree in engineering, both from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a Ph.D. in technology management from Indiana State University. From 2009-2014, he served as B次元’s construction management program director.

Wentz served as owner’s representative for B次元’s Grohmann Tower renovation project and currently for the university’s new Dwight and Dian Diercks Computational Science Hall project, which will break ground this spring. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and American Institute of Contractors (AIC) Certified Professional Constructor (CPC).
